We’re excited. There’s a seemingly innocuous plot of sand near Dubai World Central. You might even miss it. But it marks the spot where Dubai is pinning its hopes and dreams. This piece of sand will grow and become the 438-hectare site that will quite literally bring the world together. That’s right. The World Expo. Dubai is the first city in MENA region to host this highly celebrated international exhibition and you’d be hard pushed not to feel the swell of pride or be pulled along by the wave of confidence in the UAE economy.
Expos are catalysts, harbingers of good things. That’s a historic fact.
